HAL is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation, and volunteer expenses such food for fosters, are tax deductible, however, HAL will provide food and cat litter to all foster homes upon request, as well as reimburse for any medical emergency involving the foster cat. Volunteers also accept liability for personal injury or damages caused by a foster animal. Volunteers agree by signing below that working with animals is unpredictable, and the utmost caution must be taken in caring for foster animals. HAL will provide routine vet care for its animals. No expenses will be reimbursed to a foster home without written and prior approval of the Executive Board, unless a medical emergency occurs and the foster parent cannot get in touch with a member of the Executive Board.

While the foster caregiver will be part of the adoption process to the best of our ability, all final decisions regarding the welfare of the animal will be the responsibility of HAL.

Moreover, you affirm that you are twenty-one years or older, that all the above information is true and acknowledge that HAL is relying on this information to be considered into the foster program. You understand that HAL will check veterinary references before an application is considered.
